The surgery will be CLOSED for training purposes from 12 noon on Thursday 21st June 2018. If you need a doctor urgently whilst we are closed please ring NHS 111.  In an emergency telephone 999 for an ambulance.  The surgery will re-open at 8 am on Friday morning.

ON-LINE APPOINTMENTS & PRESCRIPTIONS!! - You can book your appointment on-line, up to 3 months in advance & also request repeat prescriptions.  Ask at reception for a password.  All appointments with the doctors are 10 minutes, if you have several problems to discuss please ask for a longer appointment. 

CHLAMYDIA Testing for males & females aged 16-25.

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that often has no symptoms.

The test is a simple, painless, self taken swab for females and a urine test for men - ask your doctor, nurse or receptionist for a testing kit.

Why should I be tested?

To stop the spread of infection & prevent fertility problems in the future.  Every time  you change your sexual partner you should get a test

The treatment is a short course of strong antibiotics.


If you are over 16 you can collect free condoms from the surgery. 

Ask your doctor, nurse, or receptionist.

You can ring the receptionist and arrange to collect your condoms from reception.

If you are aged 13-16 you can collect free condoms from the surgery - please contact the surgery to arrange with the Health Care Assistant.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT - Dr Carrigan has a baby clinic every Tuesday afternoon.



MINOR SURGERY — Removal of minor skin lesions is performed at the surgery.  Please make an appointment to see one of the doctors to discuss if this would be appropriate for you.  We also treat warts and verrucaes by freezing, please make an apponitment for Dr Watson for this service.

ALCOHOL WORKER - For advice or help on safe drinking limits or alcohol problems, ask your doctor for a referral to our alcohol worker who does a weekly clinic at the surgery
