Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection that often has no symptoms.

The test is a simple, painless, self taken swab for females and a urine test for men - ask your doctor, nurse or receptionist for a testing kit.

Why should I be tested?

To stop the spread of infection & prevent fertility problems in the future.  Every time  you change your sexual partner you should get a test

The treatment is a short course of strong antibiotics.

You can ring the receptionist and arrange to collect your condoms from reception.

If you are aged 13-16 you can collect free condoms from the surgery - please contact the surgery to arrange with the Health Care Assistant.

Each GP practice is being encouraged to have a PATIENT REFERENCE GROUP (PRG).  The PRG's will allow patients and practice staff to meet regularly to talk about what the practice is doing well and discuss ways to make improvements.

Our Patient Reference Group was established in 2011 and has been meeting regularly since then.  The members of the group volunteered following advertisements in the surgery and on our website.  The group, along with one of the GP's and Manager's, meet to discuss services at the surgery and the results of our patients surveys to try and improve patient care in the future.

To see minutes of the meetings please look under PRG meetings tab.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the group either complete the form online or contact the surgery for a form.
